Difficult to prepare for the ROK Superfinals when you're unwell...

This past weekend was the Trofeo ROK Cup at the SOUTH GARDA KARTING circuit. This race is usually used to prepare for the ROK Superfinals as it's the previous week on the same track.

I woke up on the Saturday morning not feeling 100%. I did the qualifiers, ended 5th and then, run a good first heat, climbing to P2. But then I really started being unwell. I did the second heat but got caught out by the tactics of the driver in P1, and passed the starting line slightly ahead. That's a 10 seconds penalty!! I finished the heat 2.5 seconds ahead but the penalty put me in P13.

On Sunday, after having been sick all night, I decided to skip the warm-up and the 3rd heat and only drive the final. Despite missing one heat, I started the final in P10 and passed the line in P5 (having fractured the chassis during the race).

This wasn't an easy weekend but I know that I can always count on the team to help me. Let's concentrate on getting fit and ready for the Superfinal.

I want to thank my fantastic team, Ferrara Kart , my mechanic, Lorenzo Scatà and my engine provider, BM Karting Team.
